Darnell-OsborneDarnell is a Certified Public Accountant and a 1989 graduate of the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chartered Accountancy Studies.  

She is currently the Financial Controller at the Insurance Company of the Bahamas, a local general insurance company. Darnell is currently a member and licensed Chartered Accountant of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).  She was elected to BICA’s Council in 2011 and appointed Secretary in 2012.  In June 2013, she was elected and appointed 1st Vice President and chaired the Investigations and Ethics Committee of the Council.  In June 2014, she was elected as President of BICA.  Darnell is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).


Claude C. Burrell

Claude Burrell

Claude serves as the Director representing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Belize. He has served on the Council for the ICA - Belize in various capacities since 2003, including two terms as President.

Claude is the Managing Partner of Grant Thornton in Belize. He is both a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Information System Auditor. He has over twenty years’ experience gained locally and abroad, in audit and consulting, across a wide range of industries including banking and finance, retailing, manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism and hospitality.

His community involvement also included serving as the Treasurer for the Belize/ Honduras District of the Methodist Church as well as on the boards of various educational institutions.


Bruce Scott

Mr. Scott is the partner responsible for the Risk and Controls Practice at PwC Jamaica and PwC Caribbean Region of Network Firms. His professional experience spans approximately 25 years at PwC, working in Jamaica and the Caribbean region and includes six months working at PwC Toronto. Mr. Scott also worked on a PwC Global product development team where he was responsible for one of the work streams.

Mr. Scott is a former chairman of the Membership Committee and Public Relations and Publications Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) and is a member of the Council of the ICAJ. He was also chair of a Funding Sub-Committee, which was designed to increase ways in which ICAJ is funded. He currently serves as Vice President of the ICAJ and Chairman of the Property Development Committee. He was appointed to the ICAC Board as Alternate Director for Jamaica in June 2015.

He has extensive experience helping companies develop and maintain their internal audit departments and enterprise and operational risk management infrastructures. He also has extensive experience conducting financial statements audits.

Mr. Scott is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAJ, a Chartered Certified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Certified Public Accountant through the state of Colorado, a Certified Internal Auditor, and is certified in Risk and Information System Control, among several other certifications, including an MBA in Finance from the University of Manchester (UK) Manchester Business School. Mr. Scott was one of the youngest people ever to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in the Caribbean at the age of 21.

 


Robert Van Trikt

Robert Van TrikitRobert is a managing partner with Limebridge. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Financial Assurance. He has also completed a post-graduate study as a Chartered Accountant. Robert is the Group Controller of C. Kersten & Co, where he also gives master classes to the financial management.

He was a teacher at Hogeschool Inholland Suriname and at the Institute for Graduate Studies (IGSR) of the Anton de Kom University of Suriname (Banking and Finance). He currently teaches at the Suriname College of Accountancy (SCA) (AA certification) and NIVE / HOFAM in Suriname. Robert worked as Chief Auditor with the Hakrinbank in Suriname from 2008 to 2011, where he was responsible for the reorganization of the bank in accordance with international standards. 

Between 2006 and 2008 he was Senior Manager Coordinator Global with Fortis Merchant and Private Banking Métier (PFS) in Amsterdam. From 1999 – 2006 Robert worked for KPMG and Ernst & Young in the Netherlands and was responsible for financial audits, operational audits, corporate finance, business risk services and audits in the financial sector.


Gowon N.G. Bowe

Gowon BoweGowon N.G. Bowe is the Group Chief Financial Officer for Fidelity Bank & Trust International Limited, including its publicly traded subsidiary Fidelity Bank (Bahamas) Limited. Prior to this role, he was a partner and Advisory Leader with a Big Four (4) accounting firm. In that firm, Gowon had been on a fast track through the ranks in both The Bahamas and the United Kingdom firms.

Gowon is a proud graduate and alumnus of St. Anne’s High School and the now University of The Bahamas. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting with First Class Honours and a Masters of Business Administration with a specialism in Finance from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and was the recipient of the University Medal for the Commerce department due to high academic achievements. Later, he completed the Uniform Examination of Certified Public Accountants on his first attempt and placed second overall in the State of Georgia.

Gowon served as engagement leader on some of largest audits, and consulting projects, for private and public sector entities, as well as serving as leader of accounting and audit technical, risk and quality functions. He is President of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as its Technical Committee Chairman, and Immediate Past Chairman of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation. Gowon is a regular presenter/facilitator at seminars and training sessions, as well as speaker at business/accounting related discussion forums and media programmes.

Gowon is married to Evanne M. Bowe (nee Archer), and the father of two children, Dylan N.K. Bowe and Aryanna S.M. Bowe.


Lisa Padmore

Lisa PadmoreLisa is an assurance partner at EY Caribbean, resident in Barbados. She has enjoyed approximately 25 years of public accounting experience serving as engagement lead partner for large, complex clients in the retail, import distribution, manufacturing and construction sectors in Barbados and within the wider Caribbean. Over the years, Lisa has also successfully led the transition of large groups from competitor firms, allowing them to concentrate on running their business.

Lisa was the 4th female President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB). She is currently the Vice President of ICAB, the Vice-Chairman of the Barbados Chapter of CPA Canada, the Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean and from 1 January 2017 became the CPA Canada representative on the Professional Accountancy Office (PAO) Development Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

In the past Lisa has served as Vice-President of Finance and Administration Committee with the Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the treasurer of Empire Club, a director of the Cricket Franchise Barbados Inc. (a subsidiary of the Barbados Cricket Association), the company that manages the Barbados Pride Cricket team.

Lisa is an active member of the Anglican Community in Barbados and currently serves as member of the choir and a Eucharist minister at the Church of Christ the King. Her interests also include dance and drama. Lisa is married and has 2 daughters, ages 15 and 12 years.

Brett Feinstein

Brett Feinstein

Since passing the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Exam in November 1997 and qualifying as a CPA in the state of Maryland, Brett subsequently qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001. Brett Feinstein also has serves as an Independent Director of hedge funds with various investment strategies, the scope of which include, but are not limited to the trading of futures and options, derivatives, foreign exchange and transactions in commodities.

Brett’s other experiences include complex company acquisitions, managing the finance and operations aspects of various companies, restructuring, establishment of accounting systems, design, development and reorganization of database systems.

Brett also has experience teaching Managerial Finance to university students. He is noted for successfully improving existing systems and processes, surpassing benchmarks, and effectively elevating the learning goals of Managerial Finance.

Brett has served the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Belize in the capacity of President, Vice President, Treasurer and has been a council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Belize since 2003. He is an alumnus of Stetson University in Florida where he graduated Manga Cum Laude and was inducted into the Honors Fraternity Beta Gamma Sigma.


Erwin Southwell

Erwin Southwell is currently the Present of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean (ICAEC) and Chairman of the ICAEC-Antigua and Barbuda branch. He was first appointed to the ICAC Board in 2004 as Alternate Director for the Eastern Caribbean. He is now serves as Director on the ICAC Board.

He is a Senior Manager in the Corporate Secretarial Services and Business Advisory Department of Grant Thornton formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers (Antigua).


Colin Thompson

Mr-colin2Colin Thompson has been a Council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Guyana (ICAG) and for a number of years served in the capacity of President, Secretary and Vice President. He was first appointed to the ICAC Board in June 2011, a position he held for one year. He was reappointed to the ICAC Board as Alternate Director for Guyana in June 2015.

He holds an MBA from the University of Bradford, a B.Sc. degree in Accountancy from the University of Guyana and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).  Currently the Deputy Programme Manager, Finance at the CARICOM Secretariat, he also has extensive private sector experience having worked for twelve years with the Demerara Distillers Limited Group where he was Finance Controller. He is also a Director of the Trust Company Guyana Limited and a lecturer and thesis supervisor for the University of Guyana/Commonwealth of Learning MBA/MPA programme.


Raymond Campbell

Raymond CampbellMr. Raymond O’B Campbell was elected President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) on July 27, 2017. A member of ICAJ since 2010 and Council member of ICAJ since 2011, Mr. Campbell has served in several capacities including, Chairman of the ICAC 2011 Conference in Jamaica, Chairman of the ICAJ’s Public Relations, Future of the Profession and Property Development Committees.

Raymond joined KPMG in 2006 as a Principal in the Advisory Services practice in Jamaica. He has over 28 years experience in the financial and professional services sector, and for the last 25 years held managerial positions in the securities and banking industries. His professional skills are in the areas of M&A deal structuring, valuations, loan structuring, deal negotiations, strategic planning, business analysis, securities and banking operations and financing strategies.

Raymond formerly served as the Executive Director, Capital Markets for FirstCaribbean International Bank and Country Manager at CIBC Jamaica Limited (FirstCaribbean International Bank (Jamaica) Limited) wherein as the bank’s principal officer in Jamaica, he developed excellent relationships with local and regional regulators, as well as government ministries and agencies.

Within the bank he served on the regional Executive Management Committee, was a member of the bank’s integration steering committee. Throughout his work life, he has gained various professional qualifications including fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1998, membership of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators in 2010 and the Canadian Securities Course in 1991.

Raymond graduated from the University of the West Indies in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In 2016, he became a Justice of the Peace for St. Andrew. He is a Council Member at the Bethel Baptist Church in Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew and currently serves as Vice President of the Constant Spring Golf Club.

Raymond has also served as President of the Jamaica Bankers Association and Chairman of the Jamaica Institute of Bankers. Raymond and his wife, Michelle are the parents of two boys and two girls and have several household pets. He is a regular conference speaker. In his spare time he likes to play golf and spend time with family and friends.


Denise Chinpire O’Reilly

Denise ChinpireDenise Chinpire –O’Reilly is the Managing Director of KS Chinpire Contracting Services Limited (STOW Certified), a family business which has been operating for over fifty years. In 2013, KS Chinpire Contracting Services Limited were finalists in the American Chamber of Commerce HSSE award for Excellence. The company is a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Chamber.

Denise serves as Secretary of the Couva/Pt. Lisas Chamber of Commerce, a position she has held since 2014. Prior to this she was Treasurer (2011) and Assistant Treasurer (2013). In 2011 Denise won the award for Young Professional Business woman of the year presented by the Couva/Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Chinpire O’Reilly has been a member of ICATT since 2011 and is a member of ACCA. She was elected to the Council of ICATT in 2014 when she also chaired the Professional Accountants in Business Committee and served as the 1st Vice President of ICATT for the 2015-2016 term.

She is the current Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee and chairs the Feedback committee for the Corporate Governance Code of the Corporate Governance Institute and was recently Appointed as the Alternate Director for Trinidad & Tobago at ICAC.
