Anthony Pierre, FCCA, CA, CFC

AnthonyMr. Pierre was elected President of the regional accountancy body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) in June 2017. He is the Principal of Anthony P Pierre & Co. Chartered Accountants, a member firm of the SFAI Network and Executive Chairman of Evolved Business Solutions Limited. He is also a former partner of Deloitte and Touche (Trinidad & Tobago). He is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants of the UK (FCCA), a member in practice of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (CA), an associate of the Institute of Certified Financial Consultants of the USA (CFC) and a Certified Internal Control and Risks Analyst (CICRA).

Mr. Pierre has over thirty-five (35) years experience in auditing and accounting; corporate finance; restructuring, liquidations and receiverships; risk management and training; the last twenty-six (26) years at organizational leadership level. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the THA Venture Capital Equity Fund Limited and of Junior Achievement Educational Trust (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited. He previously served as Chairman of the Chaguaramas Development Authority and on the board of directors of several private companies and two large credit unions.

Mr. Pierre has served as a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago since 2002; serving as president for three years from 2009 to 2012. He is also currently a Council Member on the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago. He was first appointed a Director of the ICAC in 2009 and has served as Secretary (2011 to 2013) and as Vice President (2015 to 2017); before being elected President in June 2017. Mr Pierre has chaired ICAC’s Technical Committee and represented the regional body at various international forums over the years.


Khalil Alli, FCA                    
Vice President, ICAC & Director, Guyana

Khalil Alli is a Partner with the firm of Jack A. Alli, Sons & Co., an accountancy firm located in Guyana. A Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Guyana (ICAG), he joined the ICAC Board as Alternate Director for Guyana in 2008 and has been a Director since 2011. He was elected Vice President of the ICAC in June 2017. Prior to this, Mr. Alli served as Secretary of the ICAC Board for two terms- 2013 - 2015 and 2015 - 2017.

He qualified as a chartered accountant while working with the London office of PricewaterhouseCoopers United Kingdom. He studied Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mr. Alli served as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Guyana from 2008 to 2011. He has also served as the ICAEW representative on the ICAC Board since 2008.

 

 

David Simpson

Treasurer, ICAC & Director, Barbados

David-SimpsonDavid Simpson is the Founder and Managing Director of Prestige Accounting Inc. – an award winning professional accountancy and finance training and service company. He was first appointed to the ICAC Board in June 2013 as Alternate Director for Barbados. David was elected Treasurer of the ICAC in June 2015 and was re-elected to continue to serve as Treasurer for 2016-2017.

David has over 18 years in the audit and accounting fields and has provided professional services to the Governments of Barbados and British Virgin Islands, Caribbean Development Bank, CARTAC and several private companies. He is a Fellow of the ACCA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB), and is a past president of the Institute. He is also the ACCA’s International Assembly representative for Barbados and a Director of the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation and Fortress Fund Managers.

Secretary, ICAC & Director, Eastern Caribbean

Andrea currently serves as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean – St. Lucia Branch. She was first appointed to the ICAC Board as Alternate Director for the Eastern Caribbean on June 2015.

Andrea was elected Secretary of the ICAC Board in June 2017. She has over twenty years of working experience in the accounting profession and the provision of corporate and business advisory services having first started with the then KPMG firm in St. Lucia. She previously served as Director at the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, St. Lucia office up until March 2005. In addition to managing an audit portfolio comprising the largest businesses operating in St. Lucia, she also held responsibility for Learning and Education (L&E) within the firm, and was part of the Technical Team for PWC in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

During 1993 - 1999 she was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers in Jamaica as a Senior Manager. In that capacity she held responsibility for some of the largest clients of the firm, including NCB Jamaica Limited, Pan Jamaican Investment Trust and Nestle JMP Jamaica. Andrea is the founder of Andrea St. Rose & Associates, a provider of assurance, business advisory, tax and fraud related services.
